Hi Guys,
I am listing my original 1985 CJ7 Laredo. I bought it from the original owner and it only has 76,000 original Miles. It's the 4.2 and runs excellent. It has a new aluminum radiator, valve cover, water pump, custom air cleaner, battery and tray and others just look at the pics. If it looks new it is. It's been changed to HEI and runs great.
There is absolutely not rust on this Laredo.
It is a 5 speed and shifts great. The entire front suspension has been replaced. I drive it...

These Shackle Hangers are HEAVY DUTY! Milled out of a solid block of steel. Mount with 3 bolts instead of 2 like stock hangers do. Front uses existing hole already in the frame. Rear needs extra hole drilled (I used a 21/36 bit) and the frame had slots on each side where the new hole was drilled so I was about to put the bolt through the slot in the frame and through the hole and get it bolted up. They cost $145.08 for the set of 4 with grade 8 mounting hardware. Worth every penny...
Differential set-up quick tip!
Don't throw away those old carrier and pinion bearings! Clean them up, then open up the inside with a Dremel tool. Go slow and use a pinion and carrier for test fitting. The goal is to slowly open up the bearing so it slips onto (with a little friction) the pinion and the carrier.
Now, when your setting up that next ring and pinion - you'll have a set of bearings to use that will make swapping out those shims for backlash and gear mesh easy as can be! No more...
no not the jokes around here, your yokes.
I always wanted to write this but I found a picture Cj had posted in his tech article about breaking loose yoke nuts and decided to just go for it
here is the pic
here is the article

so, if you run early Cjs you know of the really small U Joints we have and often times find they can be hard to source.
and if you are going do any diff work, then it can be time to swap...
Since there are not many full roller rocker arm manufacturers available for AMC I had only a few brands to choose from for my CJ5. The ratio of 1.7:1 narrowed the field more and since I was not in the mood to fork over $400 dollars or more, Harland Sharp became my brand of choice.

Some may be saying "Harland Sharp?" right about now so I'll add a little bit of history for you. HS has been making high performance rocker parts since the 1950's. They don't focus...
