I recently upgraded my steering column to the Borgeson in my 1985 CJ with power steering. I could not find a good video for this swap so I decided to make one. Only issue I ran into was getting the coupler to fit onto the lower column shaft but I eventually got it. Hope this helps someone.

I just noticed that my steering column shaft is missing the bolt for the clamp on the upper part of the steering column shaft. Does anyone know the size of it so i can get a replacement. Just eyeballing it, it looked to me like maybe 3/8". I found one from dead jeep.com but they want 20$ for it...

Long story short my new axle shafts arrive today but didn't include the seals or dust covers or what ever they were called from the factory. Here are a few pics of the original (or whatever is left) and the new shaft. Id appreciate a link or at least what the proper name is so I can locate a set.

From what I've read on the net it looks like a striaghtforward swap. Has anyone done it? What could go wrong at each end? -Input shaft could have different splines... I don't know how the transfer case hooks to the trans so I am only assuming that it's the same for both transmissions...
