1978 cj5 shifter knob

has anyone replaced their shift knob and where can I find the threading specs?

I would to replace mine with a PBR tap handle.

example:

Shift Knob without Shift Pattern Insert 929393

Try your tap handle to see if it fits. If not you may have to drill it out and get Heli-Coil or some other thread inserts.

Bring the lock nut to the hardware store to find the correct thread size.

awesome. my next question was an adapter of some sort. For the life of my I can't find the thread specs.
