350 to t150

I wanted to state that if anyone here decides to do a 350 swap in a cj using the T-150 3spd that if you use the kit that adapts the chevy bellhousing to the tranny you may have to cut about a 1/4 inch off the pilot shaft the kits pilot bushing was solid at the back end and the shaft bottomed out. So i cut a 1/4 inch of refinished the surface of the shaft went in with no problems. Now the engine I used may have been the culpret but not for sure I used a late model tbi 350 which has a different style crankshaft end for a one peice seal there may be a difference in how far the bushing goes in between the old style crank and the new style the bushing may recess farther in on the older crank than the newer one which couldve been my dilema but if your doing this swap or thinking of doing this swap this may help you.
