Was wheeling last week, got burried in a pond. Everything working fine except stuck. When the calvary came to pull me out, no 1st gear. Didn't hear any noise, it's just like in neutral...nothing. Reverse, second and third all seem fine. Would like an opinion or two before I drop the trany out. Anybody think this could be an easy fix?

I would pull the top off before I dropped it out. Drain the oil.

Thanks for the reply...did that this evening. The syncro part of the first gear is all kinds of rounded off. I forgot about climbing the tree that day. Recently got a front locker and thought I could do anything...lol. lookin for a good used Transmission now. I've tried to rebuild these before and it almost seems like a waste of time and money the way they're put together. If you know any tricks to be able to replace 1st gear and get it back together and work right, It would be greatfully appreciated.

Should be easy to find a T-150 . Or time to swap to a 4 speed. T-176 / T-18 /T19 all share the same bell housing.

Good luck.

I would stick to the T-150 till you find the proper T-18 or 19 for your rig- the T-176 is a close ratio medium duty Transmission (which i am running currently) but if you already killed a T-150 the T-176 won't last long. (I drive like a sissy).
