My 1980 CJ5 has decided to stop firing. It was running normally til I parked it for a few days. It wouldn't start and I checked everything I knew. Since I decided to do some upgrades I replaced the battery...ignition coil..and ignition control module...plugs...and rotor button. Still no luck with the firing issue. It gets plenty of gas. I begin checking with the multimeter and found that I have spark going to the distrubutor but none coming out to the plugs. Pick up coil?? Or is there something else that could be the problem. Engine is the AMC 304 V8. Any and all help would be appreciated

Verify the distributor is turning by spinning it with the cap off. Use a wrench on the crankshaft bolt or get someone to touch it off with the key while you watch for the rotor to turn.

To check the pick up coil in the distributor, it should be getting 600-800 ohms between the orange and purple wires coming from it.
