82 Engine mount compatible with an 84 CJ7?

Hey yall lookin at gettin a new AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I found in the yard. Boss man says its from an 82 and thinks that it won't work with an 84 CJ7 , which is what I needs the engine (it used to have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in it as well).
But I recall not much of a difference till you hit the later years.
So the question, will a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l engine from 1982 drop into a 1984 Jeep CJ7 with the same mounts being used. Are the two compatible with each other?
