Need some info on converting my tail lamps to led. What is the required resistor size in order to get rid of the fast flash on turn signals?
 
wow, I think they sell kits for that. I would have to check.
 
OK! Cool! I've heard just putting a resistor might cause wire melting due to the heat put off by a resistor. The relay sounds like a better way to go about that.

resisters use heat to resist, and if you read the article by Stu, who by the way investigates stuff before posting it, he states that he ran into someone who was runing a resister and the wire heated so much it melted the tape he used to shield it
 
I used the proper flasher, if you go by autozone, they usually have them in stock in the bulb, flasher area, and are labeled for LED use.
 
I would have thought the added resister would have changed the voltage/ amperage supply to the LED and made it in operable. Perhaps the LED's in the 1057 bulb is different from an off the shelf LED that runs on 1.5 volts/20 milliamp?
