i like to keep it stock as much as possible, should i do a cable shifter from the column or buy a floor shifter

Have you checked and lubed the linkage in it now? Any idea where it's not being smooth at? (column or Transmission .)

- 1983 cj7 auto trans, tilt wheel , detroit front and rear.
Did check it was hitting the headers, and i put a new bushing in the Transmission shifter bracket helped some, I was wondering if any one has used a cable shifter before. Thanks for the reply
