87 CJ7 Transmission problems

I lost 5th gear, so took my Jeep to a Transmission shop & had the Transmission rebuilt. About 4 months later, I lost 5th gear again. The shop made it good. A few months later, lost it again & again they fixed it. Then about 9 months later, it got stuck in 5th gear. I had it towed in & talked to the mechanic. He said he gently wiggled the shifter around until it came out of gear but couldn't find anything wrong. Any ideas?? It's supposed to be a good shop, but I'm beginning to wonder.

I would say your tranny has had it and you did go to a good shop.
