2000 silverado 2002 z06 w/mods 2009 impala [wife car]
Need some pics of front / rear / sides of a AMC 304 360 V8 amc engine with accessories like alternator waterpump fan etc........bought our CJ5 with a AMC 232 i6 inline 6 and now we are putting a 360 amc v8 in it that we purchased at a swap meet in pieces and rebuilt completely and have no idea where everything goes on the v8 motor like accessories and such....any good pics are greatly appreciated...thank you

how many set ups did amc have for these ? i am new to amc stuff maybe i need close up pics of the brackets. this thing is driving me to drink.any close up pics might help me thanks and sorry for being such a pain in the a-- bob
 
I had swapped some stuff from my AMC 304 that I pulled and also bought some parts from the early wagoneer era. The PS and bracket was from the wagoneer and the alternator bracket was the orignal. The PS needed some custom spacers to bolt up. The Alternator I changed to a Delco single wire 180amp so the orignal bracket for cut/split and welded back together with a spacer. it was also spread apart as the bolts are wider then the AMC. Cant even tell.

The crank pulley I bought from one of the guys on the forum as I needed the 4 bolt pulley. Problem was it didnt line up with the alternator and PS pulleys. Had to make a spacer for the pulley to line up with the Alternator then made spacers for the PS bracket to line up with the other groove ont he pulley.

Good thing I have a mill and lathe for my other hobbies.

There was a thread a while back that someone asked about adjusting the PS belt. It turned out the AMC V8 had 3 different versions of PS mounting and adjusting. Mine is similar to kovacjr. I adjust my PS belt by using a ratchet to hold it tight.

I can't find that thread now.
 
It's been a while but I had a similar problem when I put my motor together. My problem ended up being the water pump. Apparently there is a few different water pumps, the snouts are different lengths, so it threw every thing out of line for me.
