Anyone know if the Vacuum Reservoir go bad?

While cleaning my jeep under the hood, I noticed the Vacuum Reservoir was covered in mud and wonder it is still works or I need to replace it. Does the Vacuum Reservoir go bad?

Since they don't make the same style any more this is the only one I found as a replacement.

You should examine it for rust, where it can rust through and no longer hold vacumn. It can easily be tested to see if it will even hold vacumn. A good rust preventative spray paint can help here. The old CJs had a ton of vacumn lines and should be replaced also. Those vacumn operated sensors should be checked too.
