Auto meter volt meter

Does any one have experience with the Auto meter 3391 volt meter and the "easy three wire installation"?? They sent the wrong installation sheet with it and although I know just about everything about mechanical gauges I have no clue about the "three wire" volt meter. there is a ground terminal, an S terminal and an I terminal.
The original has a hot and ground.

Three wires are for ground, 12 volts and the dash light.
I think the S wire is 12 volts (sense),
I is the dash light (indicator light)

It has it's own grounded light . the three terminals are for the meter and have nothing to do with the light.

the top stud is ground, the left is S and the right is I. the funny hole at the top is for the light which is independent of everything else. these pictures are sad but I hope they will do.

I don't know where you found this , I hunted every where I could think of.
Once again, You da man.
If they had put the right sheet in the box it would have saved a lot of work.
