Battery Tray 1966 CJ 6

Hey guys i am having a heck of a time finding a battery tray for the CJ, I can find a thousand for a 76 - 86 but nothing for mine.

Anyone have any suggestions, other then to build my own?

I'am havin the same problem with my 1968 CJ5 battery tray. But, I found some trays @ Morris 4x4 Center. P/N 30498 stainless steel and P/N 20503 Black Powder coat. Looking at the items it seems I can fit then on my CJ5 . Enclosed is pics of how it is mounted in the CJ5 , and pic from my Jeep Universal Parts Catalog. Parts Catalog calls for this tray for CJ6 also. One should get a Jeep Universal Parts Catalog W-1195 R2, and a 1966-1971 Jeep Universal Series Service Manual SM-1046 if ones is going to get a CJ5 in shape. Orginal Reproductions and Jungle Jim's Willys Jeep Parts are the one in same. Jim has good part pics and assembly components breakdowns. But, his prices a kinda on the high side. Walck's is a good site as is Morris 4x4 Center.

Thanks commo, it looks like that might fit but the tab in the back is on the wrong side. It will probably work though.
