Where is the best place to splice to install a Kill Switch?

I'm thinking a momentary switch...

Thanks

this is for engine braking?
or to make it backfire?

For Anti-Theft
There is a red wire on the coil that must receive 12 volts if the engine is to run. If you disconnect that wire it will turn over but not start, it is a low amperage circuit. I shall leave the wiring and switch mounting to you.;)

Thanks...I was thinking of putting a momentary on the starter or relay so that you would have to hold the switch down while cranking.Someone told me that having a manual Transmission , you could still push start it.

Sounds like the coil wire with an off/on switch would be better.

True. If it's got spark & a manual Transmission , it can be push started. If it's got an automatic, and they've got a long rope and a huge fella, they can rope-start it. :D

Got an electric fuel pump? If you do, hide a switch controlling it. They can START it, so they think they've got the job done, but it won't go more than about half a block.

If you have a mechanical fuel pump, kill the coil. That's reliable. Heck, lift the hood & take the coil wire with you if you think it might be stolen. They CANNOT start it without the coil wire.

Or if you really want to mess with their mind, take the rotor & leave the coil wire so visually it looks OK.

...and if you REALLY REALLY want to mess with their mind... remount the battery behind the Transfer Case but leave the battery tray where it is, with battery cables dangling into it. :D

I liked the really big guy with the pull rope the best.:laugh::laugh::laugh:
