Blown hub
By any chance did it come loose? as that can destroy them. Using studs does seem to hold them in better.
I wonder if someone could take their Zinc hubs and shim the hole with a steel crush sleeve and get rid of the problem of the hubs becoming loose?
Those OEM Warn hubs are made from Zinc castings, and are pure junk.
You torque the mounting bolts to spec. The bolt digs into the soft casting. The bolts will not hold torque because of the soft metal--

The video doesn't show the part I'm talking about, but the more I'm thinking about it my hub might have been a SuperWinch hub. Different breed of cat all together.
Found a front axle out of a 81 CJ7 I'm going to look at it this weekend.
