Yep just blew up on of my hubs. Trying to decide what to do now.

What I mean by that buy replacement hubs or go with the Dana 44 outers.

If you do a lot of water fording I would recommend the internal 44 hubs, at the least upgrade to the CJ6 bolt hubs.

By any chance did it come loose? as that can destroy them. Using studs does seem to hold them in better.

Do this-First use studs instead of bolts.
Second-Buy Mile Marker Hubs.
I have never had any issue using the above 2, and I have a Detroit Locker in my front axle.

Torx no that side was good I had pulled a bolt out so I could get some for the other side, run it in by hand got distracted and forgot to tighten it. The other 4 where tight

I wonder if someone could take their Zinc hubs and shim the hole with a steel crush sleeve and get rid of the problem of the hubs becoming loose?

That's not a bad idea. Might try that.

Lipstick on a pig-;)
When you see a MM hub up next to the 5 bolt OEM Warn's. You'll see.
The flange on those Warn's is very weak and failure prone.

What are those made out of LG?

MM hub body is made of steel. The outer dial and ring are alum.
Mine have been bash'd many time in rocks with no issues.

But, according to my Jeep Guy Rob the Mile Maker hub has an internal bearing that is prone to premature wear. I had MM hubs on my CJ, took then in for some reason and he showed me the slop in an unserviceable bearing. He didn't have a set of Warn hubs, but said they were about as good, not great, but as good as you can get today.

Mine have been on for many/many years with no issues.

HH, the 6 bolt Warn hubs you have are far superior to the POS, 5 bolt Warns that AMC used at the end.

Good point on the Deluxe Warn Hub. Never really compared the new to the old. I suppose I'm no technically very good at this sort of thing. Bushing vs. bearing that is. Both do very similar things, it is the bushing that wears out. I was surprised when he took mine and showed me how sloppy the bushing was and said it was warn out and there was nothing that could be done .... well aside from getting a machinist to do some expensive machinist magic tot he bushing. I have no idea how old the MM hub that was on my CJ was, I do know that the th8ing was FULL of orange red goop. Obviously water had been in there a LOOOONNNG time.

The axle stub slides onto a gear cog that is engaged/disengaged via the hubs dial.
I have no clue about this bushing/bearing you speak of. There ain't any--
This vid will show you.

The video doesn't show the part I'm talking about, but the more I'm thinking about it my hub might have been a SuperWinch hub. Different breed of cat all together.

YES, they are. IMO-I would rate them at #2. Just behind the MM hubs.
Warn 5 holes don't even rate in my book.
Had the Warn prem on my FJ-40, Land Cruiser. Those were some nicely made hubs.

Found a front axle out of a 81 CJ7 I'm going to look at it this weekend.
