body tub match

I have a 1978 CJ7 and would like to put a 1989 wrangler tub in my CJ7 will it line up correctly thanks pinky

From info Ive gathered the dimensions are the same but there are a few differences. The windshield defroster vents need a little modifying to work with the Cj windshield frame.

There are 2 body mounts that need to be moved as well. The fuel filler is on the wrong side so you have to patch it up and cut it out on the correct side.

If you want to retain your fold down Cj tailgate you have to modify the tub in the rear to accept the hinges. The Yjs tailgate opens to the side.

I am doing the same thing.... i have read four of the builds on the certifiable jeep website and it is full of information... kinda like a play by play and let you know what he was thinking and how he tackled some issues...
