Well, I finally finished building my 360. I decided to put a new clutch in since I had the engine out. Everything went together fine till I tried to get the throwout bearing on the tranny shaft. It went on, then click, and would go no farther. Tried tapping it with a hammer, nothing. Any ideas? Jeep is a 1976 with a T-150 . Thanks.

Is this a new bearing set? What is the engine out of originally....

Dont know about the engine situation, but puzzled over the fact that the release bearing will not go on the cover assy? Not trying to put you on the spot but is it the same size as the old one??
Also check the end of the front cover shaft and make sure it isnt oblonged or otherwise damaged from disassymbly.

If i had a way id send you my old T-150 nose cone i had the 360 in mine i converted it to chevy power and my new adapter came with a new nose cone. I live in alabama so driving it to you may be a bit far but if yours wont work and ou need one i got one just have to figure out what steps to send it.
