i have found a guy on ebay that i was wondering if any of you have dealt with. For $360 he will built me a carb and ship it over night so i can have tomorrow, now that's fast service!!! I have looked all over for replacement carbs with not to much luck,.

this was his reply before i asked for overnight,
"I know exactly which carb you have and unfortunately, it is the AMC version, 2150 w/ the altitude compensator. This is a horrible version of the carb. I can definitely help.

I really can't use this one as a core though.

What I can do for you:

$265 - proper 2150, custom built and pre-set.
$20 - electric choke
free shipping

This will include gaskets, fuel filter, mounting hardware, etc. Set up and ready to go. "

so in other words 285 for a complete carb with warranty, me wanting it so bad is where the other money comes in. i want to drive the jeep this weekend, its been raining here for about the last 3 days

hummm i hope i made a good choice. i went ahead and bought it so i can play in this mud. i did just email him letting him know about some negative responses i recieved from a jeep site.. waiting to hear back. Hoping that email will ensure he builds everything right .

im scared right now

I've dealt with him. He's not a bad guy. I bought an adapter plate, for my MC2100 carb swap, and some other misc MC2100 carb parts.

thats good to hear

he has 100% + feedback on sales on ebay. all i can do is wait for tomorrow i guess

Did I read this right $75 for overnite shipping :censored:

yea but im hoping it will all be worth it come tomorrow :) i have yet to play with this jeep!:grinjeep:

ok shes here, a little diffrent than the other. I think its pretty much straight foward, but what is this and where does it go in the 2nd pic? The current carb has this capped off.

It's the fuel bowl vent. It usually is plumbed back into your EGR vapor return system.

He mightve been quicker if he wasnt cleaning up all the little Cp messes I made around the board.

Jeez Cj give someone else a chance. :D :notworthy:
LOL - It's finally a day off! I'm working on the site and just chillen waiting for the Gators to take on Miss ST! I just happen to be on a roll! :)

I am watchin' 'Kiss of the Dragon' too! Great JC flick!

I'll take a pill now... :)

ok next up, i took old carb off and found what looks to be an adaptor plate? one corner is broke off . do i need to replace this, or just install the 2 gaskets that came with the carb?

I don't think that's an adapter plate just the insulator plate to keep the heat from the manifold away from the carb. Do you still have the corner?? if so its time for a bit of super glue or something like that . make sure you do not have any vacuum leaks. and the spacer needs to be there.
