charcoal box hose

Hi I swapped out my AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l inline 6 with a gm 350 v8. Im not putting any of the emisions hoses on there and Im not sure what to do with the hose that goes into the charcoal box. Im not putting the charcoal box back in the jeep and I dont think I can just cap off the hose because I think it is venting the engine. Would it be ok to run the hose into the air cleaner. Thanks

Are you referring to the hose that goes from the canister to the tank? You can just plug it off if you aren't using the canister.
The lines that enter the canister are reclamation from the carb...they dont vent the engine. If you are de-smogging it you dont necessarily need it.

Sorry if I wasnt very clear but yes the hose from the tank to the canister. I thought the charcoal canister was for the gasoline vapor and to vent the tank since the gas cap is not vented. There was a couple of hoses that came out of the canister that tied into the pcv valve and into the carb and the other went into some emision hoses.
