CJ 4.2 to 4.3 swap

I'm new to the site and you guys seem to have alot of knowledge so heres my question. Anybody done a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l /AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l to Chevy 4.3 swap before? What will the stock 4 speed Transmission bolt up to? Is there a kit made for this? Thanks for the help.

what tranny do you have now? T-4 , T-176 ? T-176 will hold up fine. the T-4 is the light duty tranny. i ran a T-4 behind my 350 for awhile with good luck but i had to be very nice to it. you could bolt the 4.3 right up with a iron duke bellhousing. you might have to drill and tap 4 new holes depending on what tranny you have. other wise novak sells a conversion bellhousing. i think you would be alot better off putting in a 4.0 out of a newer jeep. it would go together cheaper and they are very good running engine.
