that thing is ruff. might be ruffer than mine.

T-176 $AMC 150 , Dana 300 $AMC 150 , AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l $AMC 150 , wide trac axles $200. Anything else thats good just covers the time and energy of parting it out. Didnt I say somewhere that if I had it to do all over again Id start with something in better shape? Ok that doesnt count if its a CJ8 . Still with the amount of travel Id have to do I cant bid much higher than I already have.

But Pete! It has the 'Factory Wagon Wheels with all original center caps'

Lissten, 8's are pretty cool, and it would'nt mind having one. I would not for one second go over the top over one and spend a fortune. With the exception of the much desired Jamboree , It's still just a Jeep CJ. They have no real over the top collector value, and going nuts to buy a wreck and sink a fortune in will net you a more than decent loss on you return. If I really really wanted one just because, I can go into th 4WD Hdw catalog and buy one. you're right, people have these 8's and think they can retire on them. Just not worth it.

Thanks I missed that. I added another $4000 into my bid. I wouldve only went another $3000 but center caps do it for me. :D

And this guy touts it as being all original. Um, that bed area doesnt look factory to me and we all know whats under there. If its all original and its worn out and rusted WTF? Id make it into a wheeler. This guy thinks its a restore candidate.

Well I guess Im just cheap. It went for $1000 ....to a guy who never bid before ...stay tuned .

There is one here locally on CL for 800 OBO. Apart, but complete, and has a glass tub, exellent frame.

I saw it last week, I'll see if I can locate it....

Seems to be gone??? It was pretty close to me, and listed as , No time to fix, took it apart several years ago, was running, glass body not on the frame, all parts to put it back together, exellent frame and running gear, etc etc. Usual stuff. But 600 bucks was dirt cheap for what he listed.
