Try using the search button , but no luck on my problem. Anyway on my 1979 CJ AMC 304 project with fiberglass tub I got my headlights, parking lights and front turn signals working. My rear drivers side brake light works and signals but my rear passenger brake light stays bright ( like the brake pedal is on) and blinker doesn't work. Wired wrong or ground? Also parking lights stay on with no ignition on.( I have no rear parking lights) Any input will be appreciated.

Have you tried pulling up on the brake pedal? My brake light stays on sometimes, even after the CJ is off, until I pull up on the brake pedal. I believe there is an adjustment somewhere under the dash near the break pedal, but I haven't messed with mine yet. That is a quick fix if that's it. Just pull it up towards you when your sitting in the drivers seat, and then go back and see if there still on.

Hey guys... I'm new here, and I could use some help if you guys have the answers... (1) I replaced the steering wheel in my '86 CJ7 , and now my horn doesn't work and my brake lights aren't working? Do they share a fuse? I know where the brake light fuse is, but I figured it's ok, since the turn/hazard lights work fine.

Really hard to say. My first thought would be wired wrong, but bad grounds can make it do funny things. Remember with a glass body you need to run a ground to everything. Are you running the stock wire harness ?
The parking lights should stay on without the ign. on.

If you still have the instruction for the new steering wheel make sure you followed them for the horn, they can be a pain sometimes.
No they don't share the same fuse. I'd check it if I were you, as there's nothing in the wheel (that I know of) that should have made them quit working.

Hmmm.... OK, I'll see if I can try some of the troubleshooting that I found in some of the other forums... does the horn actually have a fuse, or just a relay? Sorry, but electrical stuff is totally new to me, but I'm trying to learn this... You can't have a license plate that says "HER TOY" and not know what's under the hood, IMHO... :) Thanks for your help!

Well I feel like a idiot. My son says switch the rear bulbs in the rear . It was the bulb!!!. Now to get the fuel gauge to work and wipers in the next few days. By the way it is the stock wiring harness that someone else hacked...Thanks guys.:chug:
