Dana 30 Spline Count?

I am about to buy some lockers for my 86 CJ7 , I has the original Wide Trac Dana 30 . I think the Wide Trac Dana 30 is a 30 spline and the Narrow Trac is a 27 spline but not 100% sure. Can somone confirm this or correct me if im wrong.

If it is stock you have 27. AFAIK - 30 splines are strictly after market and require a carrier upgrade.

CJ is correct, both narrow and wide tracks come stock with 27 spline axles.

If your going to buy a locker you might want to up grade to the 30 spline now and not worry about it anymore.

If you're running big HP V8 - ditch the Dana 30 and go for a Dana 44 or bigger.
