Dana 300

WOW! They go for about $300 around here. And that's with the stock shifter and in need of a rebuild.

Nice take WW,
Must be a New England thing, I recently picked up a well maintained "stock" 300 for $75, About 2 years ago was pretty common to find them for $100 stock.

Well, I've decided to stay with my Dana 20 . I've got a spare one of those I'm going to rebuild and try to find the bronco guts to lower the ratio when I do. I'll also fab up a twin stick.

I'm not into pulling my 18 off again and don't have the $ to buy the main shaft conversion. The 300 I have a line on has the clocking ring but I'd still need the new main shaft and an adaptor to go to my 18 correct? The 18 is a Jeep version and The 300 is not a scout version based on the location of the speedo output.

Any help on this mate up is appreciated.

All you need is the sliding gear from the bronco and the gears from a D-18 to lower your 20. The bronco gear you need is hard to find but doable. I'll post the gear part number from the one I have if need be.

The scout Dana 300 has the Texas pattern like the Dana 20 and would be a direct bolt on.

Posi, I had thought you don't need the bronco parts if you find a later model dana 18 with the large intermediate shaft?
