Yes, I am one of the luck ones who gets to piece back together an emissions set up as the emission laws have changed in my area. I am trying to find out how many delay valves and which ones I need for my AMC 304 . I have the original intake but all the vacume lines are gone. I have researched the delay valves which are available but they have different colors which are required in different locations.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Are you kidding emissions on a 30 year old Jeep? Man what's going on in CO?

Exactly, but I will not give up the Jeep so I have to get this figured out. Im just not sure which colors of delay valves and hot many I need.

Where are you located, in Denver or Boulder?

I run a 401. The only delay valve I run is on the vacuum line to the EGR valve. It is half black half gray. Got it at NAPA.

I live in Berthoud, and I am in Weld County.

I don't get to Denver much, as I live in Trinidad. I have a valve that I will be taking off soon, as I don't need them and mine didn't come with that valve, I needed it because I lived in Arizona and needed it for emissions there.

I have a black one in my old intake on the front jacket water runner, and I believe it was tubed from the carb (2100 series motorcraft) to the delay, then to the distributor. I'm not sure if it was correct, but that's how it was when I yanked that emissions :dung: off mine... I'm sorry for your loss, by the way.. :) Iowa doesn't have those foolish emissions laws.

Since we are not to far away from each other, I would be glad to take a look and compare engines to help figure it out.

Thanks Purple77CJ7, that would be great. How would you like to be contacted to meet?

I had collector plates on my Jeep, so with the new rules, I'm grandfathered in. They changed the rules and are testing even older vehicles. Now my Jeep is not old enough to get the new collector plates and be exempt from emissions. All the hot rodders and the muscle car guys are ticked, because now they have to have emissions done. Unless they have the old plates and are grandfathered in, too. It' a big joke. Greedy bas.....

Have you considered a EFI system?

Have you considered a EFI system?

Yea, I would love to change to EFI, but that will have to wait until next year.
