81 CJ7, I6, T5, D300, 4.2 block with a 4.0 head, Cherokee MPFI
81 CJ7 , California model, half the smog stuff was already out, and I just want to clean it up a bit.
 
Must be Cali emissions stuff. Never had either one on any of my Cjs.
 
I wanted to pull all the stuff before I put the engine back in, I think I might gamble on it working.:) All the engine needs is the one power wire and gas, so I'm trying to think of anything else those would be needed for. Guess we'll see!
 
one on the drivers fender is the computer for the fuel feedback system on the engine; controls the BBD carb and all electronic sensors on the engine.
 
Make sure you wait until the engine's hot! Don't think just cause it starts that it'll stay running! Also, run it under load, not just at idle or moderate revs.
 
Can those still affect something without the stock distributor and carb?
