Any one out there with anything good or bad to say about the Eaton E-Locker's

Non-Air all electric engagement...............

I've only had mine since this spring. I've been on a few trail rides with it
and broke one Warn locking hub,(caught some air with the front tires) but it's still hanging in there.
So far I'm happy with it.:)
The only thing I didn't know when I bought it is Eaton says to be going
under 3mph when you lock or unlock it.

It's too expensive and they don't make it for the common Jeep axle, the AMC20 . Beyond that I have no experience with it but I do like the concept. :)

There has been many a discussion as to whether or not to put money into a CJ AMC20 . Obviously not everyone can trade it out even if there is enough coin in the piggy as there may not be a proper swap available without dropping 5K +/- for a super duper upgrade. However I wouldn’t put a bunch of dough into either the CJ AMC20 or a Dana 35 and any locker that cost more than a lunchbox is probably too much to spend. I know others will disagree but that is just my opinion.

Yeah I know what your saying. The AMC20 always gets a bad rap for a fault easily overcome. While the tiny Dana 30 quietly ducts out of the fire fight.

Pa- I agree that the AMC20 can be improved for mild wheeling but even then not really made whole; however not everyone needs to build a jeep fit for hardcore wheeling as many (most?) of us don’t ever use them to that degree. We get on our “Tim Tool Man Taylor” parade and want our jeeps to be able to take on anything even if we never use it; I know I’m guilty. Still I don’t think I would put a lot of cash into the AMC20 beyond the cost of solid axles and maybe a lunchbox locker and then only if I didn't have the money for a swap, but that’s just me.
