I was wondering if this:

and this:

are common issues for 32 year old CJ's?
I got the tub and "extra"wires off and noticed the apparent lack of structural integrity to the rubber engnen mounts. I will replace them when the engine is re-mounted after the fine folks at Vilas Motor Works complete their assignment. Might be a non-issue, but was going to check anyway.

Thanks,

Yes that is common, I just replaced mine this summer. You should do the Transmission mount also.

That was another thing I meant to ask about.
Is this suppossed to be all pushed to the rear of the vehicle like this? Again, I will take your advice on replacing both this and the engine mounts, but will that correct the alignment issues i see here?

Yes it looks like that mount is shot also. Its probably never been replaced.

I suspect the front mounts may have shifted to the rear.

Replace them all. Have you poked any holes in your oil filer lately? Pretty common when the mount fails.

I like the poly mounts. I kept blowing the rubber ones, I push the CJ hard.
