1981 CJ-5 - currently strippd of body and gutting Iron Duke and frame off restoration in process!!!! Wooo Hooo......
I am looking at a SBC 350 / 383 Stroker block to build and put into my CJ5 . All work on the block is done, just need to build it out and go. Purchase is 500.00 so it looks like a deal. Any input????

Needs Heads, intake, etc. I think i could end up with a pretty nice setup for reasonable.

Advice is greatly appreciated but wont be paid for!!!!! :D

Thanks all.

Doing a full frame off.......my kid$ didnt need to go to college anyway!

That is the reason I have the 929 fund $ automatically drafted from my account on payday. I can't be left with the option to do it myself!

Good luck with the frame off, its the journey more than the destination!:chug:

You're doing the frame off anyways, so you can set up all the rest as you go.

Obviously you're going to have to think about mating the tranny (and which tranny) etc.

A 383 Stroker will have a lot of power, so upgrades may be necessary to the rest of the drivetrain.

Really depends on what you want to do with your jeep, how you're going to drive it, etc.

Are you talking bare block or short block? Any idea what year it is?
