I have an 85 CJ7 . Recently discovered that the filler hose was dry rotted and leaking. I am stationed in Guam, therefore there are very few parts on this small *** island. I went to amazon because it will tell you if the part fits your vehicle.

Well this time Amazon was wrong. The hose did not fit on the tank side, no matter what i tried.

This is the hose that i bought:

Amazon.com: Omix-Ada 17740.03 Fuel Filler Hose: Automotive

ANy ideas on how i can determine and order the correct hose? Since my other vehicle is on the fritz, teh Jeep has become my drive to work vehicle. Thanks in advance!

Mine was pn 17740.04 for a CJ7 of the 84 vintage and the mongrel over ther one with standard tank and one with the factory 55 gallon drum under it.

Pictured below is the correct filler hose, it is the one i just used on my 85 CJ7 with the 20 gal poly tank.

Omix-Ada Fuel Filler Hose

For 82-86 Jeep® CJ5 , CJ7 & CJ8 Scrambler with 20 Gallon Tank
Quadratec Part No: 917740.04
Manufacturer Part No: 17740.04

I appreciate the replies! Just one more question:

Under product dimensions it says:

Product Dimensions 13 x 4 x 2 inches

How do i read this? Length x width x diameter???

Now that's a good question. circumference maybe? nope that does not work.

Is there any place on the island that sells or repairs hydraulic hoses? I bought the filler and vent hose from Omix-Ada about 4-5 years ago and they already dry rotted out, so I went to a local shop (The Hose Man) and picked up what I needed for less than the Omix Ada :dung:. The vent hose is approx 3/4" and the filler 1" IIRC.
