I have a stabilizer bracket that has come loose from the frame. What would be the proper way to repair a stripped nut that is loose on the inside of the frame? The nut has stripped away enough that I could get a zip disk in to cut it but what would I replace it with? Hard to reach inside the frame.

Would one of the inserts that you pop rivet on and it leaves a crimped nut on the back side work. Save a hole lot of work.

Those would be nut-serts. If it is a high stress load bolt I don't think it would be strong enough. They are made of aluminum and would twist loose or pull out. IMHO.

I will try to get a bolt in through a hole and get it to fall in place. If that does not work I will hole saw a hole on the side to access it.

As luck has it I was able to pop a bolt in and move it in place with a wire. I then used a magnet to pull it through the hole from the out side.

They are available in steel. They can pullout and worse, spin. I wouldn't use them in any area that if they pulled out, ie sway bar, I might lose control a speed.

A much better choice - a bolt for a sway bar.
