Frame Year Question with pic's

I have pictures of a CJ5 frame for sale and the guy doesn't know what year it is. I need one that will fit a 80 CJ5 . Can you determine from the pics what year this frame is? Also any comments on how rusty it is? I plan on sandblasting it but I am hoping to know whether its too rusty before I go pick it up. (It is 6 hours away) Thanks for the help!

That frame is not fully boxed. It is too old to be used with your CJ5 .

I think you will need a frame from 1980 to 1983

Yep, that is a 72 - 75 frame that has been modified (shock mounts).

Ditto on the 72-75 CJ.

Measuring the wheelbase should be around 83" to be a CJ5 .

The frame you need widens, between the front 2 body mounts, making the rear several inches. It's noticeably wider.
