fuel and speedo gauge

it is time to install gauges in the 83 CJ7 off frame v8 build i would like to install a nice set of autometer gauges but would like to retain use of the speedo cable coming from the T-5 if not there is always a hall effect sending unit. I would also like to use my stock fuel level sending unit. dose any one have suggestions on which gauges to use? ( ohms for fuel gauge ) ( speedo gauge to accept cable)

Jeep uses a 73-10 ohm sending unit, the same as Ford. On Autometer's web site, they show a speedo with cable in-put. It gives dimensions for cable. You will have to see if yours will fit.

Here's the auto meter speedo I'm using. I'm running a 231 t/c but using a cj speedo to hook em both together. The stock speedo cable has the right size drive and right size cap to screw it in..

For the fuel gauge I would pull your sender if its already installed and run an ohm test on it. Then buy the correct one.. When I bought my gauges I ordered my sender first tested it then ordered the gauge. Kind of a PITA but keeps it all in the same range.
