So I just got done replacing the fuel and temp gauges along with the fuel sending unit. I go to start it up and I blow the fuse. The fuse wasn't blowing with the old (bad) gauges and doesn't blow when I disconnect just the fuel gauge. My grounds are good (as far as I can tell) but I keep blowing fuses as soon as I connect that fuel gauge. Any Ideas?

mine did the same when i did my fuel gauge also....had to disassemble gauge again, found when I was tightening up the gauge it can go cockeyed and short the gauge post against the speedo housing...which is a ground...blowing the ignition fuse...was fine when i disconnected power to the gauge....so make sure to hold it very still and take your time when tightening the fuel gauge down make sure its not hitting the speedo housing....hope this helps:D
