1979 cj7 258 with a t-150 3 speed, 31x 10.50's but soon to be 33's . Stock all the way around for the most part. UPDATE : Now have my Goodyear 33's on it and it looks great !
I am looking for insight as to why my stock fuel gauge isn't working being as the sending unit and tank are new. I know this is a common problem among cj's and carry a fuel can around for emergencies but would def like to fix this issue! Any feedback surely would help!

CJ Gas Gauges are so finicky. Man I personally have owned over a dozen cj jeeps and I think two of them worked. New tank and sending unit is a good start. It's either your wiring, fuse or gauge it's self now. If you can get a test light / multimeter on your gas gauge wire you can see if its getting power and then all fingers would be pointed to the gauge it's self. If no power then trace back from there. You can find new jeep gas gauges at the link below. Good luck!

Please check your grounds :chug:
