I've looked through the fantastic info on gauges and unless I missed it, I didn't see the problem I am having. I just installed a new tank, and sending unit. I added fuel and needle moved accordingly. I went and filled it up and gauge went to the full mark. The problem is that it has stayed there. After a couple of days of driving I knew it was wrong. I filled up and it took 6 gallons. It's a 15 gallon tank. The needle is stuck on full for some reason.

sounds like the sending unit is stuck, or the resistor part of the sending unit is not working anymore

If it is a stuck sending unit or a similiar issue, that could be detected by getting a resistance reading at the sending unit wire. The resistance numbers will be in a Jeep repair manual or John Strenks New Gauge Page on the net.

On one of my gauges, not sure which one, I had wired it up backwards. Flipped the two wires and were good to go.
