All of a sudden i have excssive pressure in my gas tank, now it leakes. With it running, took the gas cap off and it about blew out of my hand. Any idea what this could be?

Your cap is not venting.. get a self venting gas cap or clean yours.
 
The fuel tank vent system that came with your CJ is not working. They are fairly well laid out in most CJ specific repair manuals.
