- I started with a 1941 MB that didnt look like a jeep, took over a year to make a Jeep out of it, After that bought a 1973 cj5 in 1976 drove it 6 years. Now I just bought a 1979 cj5 with a new engine, again the engine was in a box ( napa delco) front end was in a few boxes, just set new engine in Jeep last night
We installed the new engine in the CJ5 last night and now a couple afternoons to wire and pipe up engine. In the process of installing the engine i found a broken Transmission bolt (driver side), do I need to pull the Transmission to repair
