So I have this hardtop at home that doesn't fit my CJ at all :( I think its because the frame and body of my jeep are tweaked. I tried putting it on with no success :/
So I've posted a link on craigslist, and I'm not sure how much to ask for. But i was hoping you guys could take a look at the link and the pictures I've posted on there and tell me if its a YJ or CJ top. And could the top just be worth poo :dung:
A friend gave it to me, is it possible to restore this top ????

The hardest part of a hardtop to find in good shape is the liftgate. To me a top is almost worthless without it. That said once in awhile you can find someone who rolled and broke their top and really only need the shell.

To me $50 -$75 is all its worth.

Looks to be a CJ7 top. It will not fit a 5. However a replacement lift gate frame is going to run $400 or so. then glass and fittings and lift struts.

It is a CJ7 top but with no lift gate and missing a qtr glass I don't think it's worth to much. I think the only person that would want it would be someone that has one and it is damaged and looking to fix it.

I have a top like this on my CJ7 . I didn't like a bikini top because it left the kids in the back seat sitting in the sun. My soft top was very noisy. I run this hardtop without the back hatch and love it. It gives me protection from the sun and occasional downpour but I still have the open air feel. With a window and back hatch, around here, it might bring $400. As is, it may be worth $100.
