Quick question. Fully restored my heater box. It is missing a piece.
The one labeled "fresh air vent" in this pic:

What is the "real" name for it? I am trying to purchase one and am having no luck finding it on the usual sites for such a thing.

Drivers side or pass?

I asked because if you look at your pic it shows one on both sides. I have a extra one if you want it.

You may be chasing a part that is to say the least illusive.

There is a part that occasionally pops up in a pic of a dash. It is a square/rectangular tube bolted to the dash bottom just about the center of the steering column.

Haven't ever seen how it is hooked up to the cowl duct. Either was one long solid piece or had a flexible tube.

Must have been an option for some years.

I see what you're getting at. It's the one that says "Fresh Air Vent- Pass" Its the square-ish piece of plastic with a slatted vent. If you do indeed have this I would be more then happy to take it off your hands. Just let me know what sounds good if so :chug:

I went out and pulled it off the box it works fine and has the bracket for the cable it is missing one of the slats. You can have it for the cost of shipping.

Oops sorry op. My reading comprehension is not what it should be. Somehow read drivers side.:o
