Hello :) I recently purchased a T-176 Transmission with a bellhousing and AMC 304 engine they didn't come with any bellhousing bolts. Does any one know what size of bolts I would need to use to bolt the bellhousing to the engine block.

Thanks, Brian

I can tell you in a few hours when I get home from work - I'm guessing 3/8 x 16 off the top of my head though...

CJ, this might be a silly question, you mentioned the bolts were 3/8 by 16. Is the head of the bolt (16) being metric. Thanks again for your help.

Not a silly question at all. The bolts are not ISO (metric) as you probably usually find up in cold country... :) They are UTS governed by the ASME/ANSI standard, so the pitch is 16 threads per inch and the diameter is 3/8 (.375) of an inch.

3/6 x 16
