1984 Jeep CJ-7
4 speed, 258ci.
Pretty much stock.
Bought from the OG owner 100k miles
32X11.50-15 BFG ATs.
1966 Vw Beetle "Cal look"(o\!/o)
1963 logoed panel VW
2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner DC (Daily Driver)

If it's still the stock unit, it could be a Borg Warner T-4 or a Tremec T-176 . Easy to tell at a glance as the T-176 has a straight shifter while the T-4 has a curved shifter.
 
True, but since He listed it for an 84 and the SR4 was used in 80 and 81, I left that out. But you never know what the P. O. installed, so OK, if the shifter is curved as well AND the reverse is found by pushing down the shifter and going to the upper left, it's the super crappy SR4 . Swap it when it dies. It's the same size as the T-4 and T-5 and will bolt straight in with no other parts.
 
Most likely, it's a T-4 . Look on the driver side for the numbers, there is plenty of info on the web once you get the numbers off the casting.
