Hi folks! Changing my valve cover I hit a small plastic wire that leads from the rear, passenger side of the engine up to a small firewall hole next to the battery. It connects to a brass fitting of some sort. Picture attached. Did I ruin my jeep and now have to send it to the car crushing plant or is this fixable?

I think I've attached pictures correctly.

That's the line to your manual oil pressure gauge. Undo the compression fitting put and the line back into the crush ring inside of it and then reassemble the fitting.

Sometimes you need to get another "ferrule" for the compression fitting tho. Most hardware stores keep plenty ferrule's of all sizes on hand for compression fittings.

Lt you can fix that situation in less than 5 minutes, no big deal.

HA!

As soon as I started the engine a perfect stream of oil came out!! Pretty funny! Sometimes its 1 step forward; 1 step back with me. Learning all the time!!

Thanks guys, headed to HD to see about the fitting and Advance for some Speedometer lights.

3 Day weekend!!
