good job. Keep posting final pictures, what areyou going to do for side glass and seals.

I took out the glass out of the top before I got started. Seals are still good, going to take it to a glass shop and have them cut me new glass. Far as the rear hatch, I'm using the one that came with the CJ7 top. I'm going to be 2 1/2" short, but I have a piece of 3" wide metal that I'm going to run at the bottom of the top to keep it all square and the hatch should seal up to it.

Any final pictures?

why was the CJ7 top shorter? Are the body sides on a 7 taller than on a 5?

I'd guess that as he took material out of the middle to shorten that he had to trim down the back to meet the front.

Thanks for the pictures. Do you happen to have a close up of where it meets the windshield?

Do you have any pictures of the doors fitting??

Stu-freaking-pendous. I'd be a little worried about the joint cracking, but it looks like you braced it really well.
That looks great.

Yes, the CJ5 's body isn't as tall as the CJ7 . Didn't know this myself until recently. Well, from this forum actually.

I don't have any pics of where the top meets the windshield, but it fit like a glove!

There are alot of CJ5 owners out there who would love you to elaborate a bit more on this top. Very nice work. What are you doing for doors?

I used my soft doors, I ground down the drip edge of the side of the top so the doors would seal up. Very easy to do.
