I got to stop looking at Craigslist!!

I found a person selling a CJ7 rolling chassis with an 88 wrangler tub and no rot frame on full width chevy axles for $800. There is no interior but it comes with a slew of extra parts. I could care less about the axles but the tub and frame are worth it. I love Craigslist but the damn site is worse than Ebay and more addicting sometimes. I have been thinking about getting more room than my beloved CJ5 and this makes the thought even more appealing to me but not my wallet.

I caved in and sent him an Email. If he is near my work I may stop by and check it out. Dammit I cant stop myself! I still think 5's are the best looking Jeep out there but I so badly want the extra room and a hard top will be nice. Plus I have the factory CJ7 storage box that goes behind the rear seat. I use it in my 5 but it will have to come out for the kids back seat so then I have no storage at all.

I used to live on CL, picking up stuff every week at least. NOw I live in an area where the closest covered area is 2 hours away... so I don't shop on there as much. I sure miss it sometimes...

I find myself looking through the tool section of CL every Saturday morning. It is very very addictive and about once a month I find something to pounce on, I may never be rich but I will die with the most tool toys.

I hate to say it, but I'm just as bad. I even have an app on my Iphone that alerts me when a new CJ is listed in my area. wtf....seriously, wtf???

Craigslist or eBay, I'm on both at least once a day looking for stuff, sometimes nothing in particular either. Speaking of eBay though, I finally found a set a vector or hurricane or whatever you want to call them wheels, and they're right down the road in VAbeach. But is $250 to much for them?

Mine were $100. Some rock rash on the outer rim but I agree with CW. $250 seems steep. Of course Im cheap though too.

The guy never got back to me. Maybe it's a sign to stay with the 5. I've been looking for a welder on cl but people want too much money for junk welders that look like they have been through a war.

Get the CJ7 fix it up for the family trips, the remove the back seat from teh CJ5 and have a rig for you and a bud.

once i found craigslist i dont get on ebay that much anymore. people jack the prices up and to many buy it nows for me. im cheap and i want a good deal lol. got two be cheap with two kids, two car payments, and a house payment. i think the jeep is the only thing we can say we own lol.

Too many toys now. I won't buy another Jeep to have on the road. I had three at one point but it got to be too much with that and my other hobbies. I ride street bike and dirt bikes so that need cash flow as well.

By the time the last minute bids come in there are no good deals on Ebay anymore
Craigs list is different though, and you can get some smoking deals there if you just wait for one to come along.
