Levi Seat Restoration

In the process of restoring my '78 CJ7 Renegade Levi (Edition) Edition. Had my seats reupholstered with some original levi material I bought years ago and the tags from two pairs of 70's blue jeans I bought at a thrift store about 15 years ago. What do you think?

I would suggest you use some form of spray on UV protection on those seats.

You know, that is a great idea! I was going to keep seat covers on them most of the time, but a spray of some kind would help protect them Im sure. Do you have any suggestions? I remember in 1977 on my CJ5 Golden Eagle I sprayed Scotchguard on them and they really repelled water.

Thank you, Lumpy Grits. That looks like great stuff and just what I need! I would assume it would work on a denim vinyl material like those seats. I'm going to get some.

I have used it for years here in the Mojave. Spray on till the item looks very 'wet'. Let sit overnight where there's good air movement.

WOW that's a beauty and probable close on the money. Sure is a shame we can't get some company to produce that fabric.What little that was out there seems to be gone. Oh well I will keep wishing.I have all the buttons for front and back seats so maybe some day. mike
