Thanks to all of you knowledgeable folks who share on this site. I have learned a lot! I plan on changing diff fluids this weekend - is there a way of telling if I have Limited slip diffs prior to taking the covers off? I believe my diffs are stock (front Dana 30 , rear Dana 44 ). Thanks.

Jack up each end till both wheels clear the ground.
Lock hubs on the front.
Spin a wheel by hand-if the other side wheel turns the same direction-You have a LSD. If the wheel rotates the opposite-it's 'open'.
If your drive line is stock-Bet no LSD in front. May have a trac-lok in back.
Far better clutch-type LSD's out there than the TL.

Thanks! I would have never have figured that out myself.

What if only one wheel spins

Rock it back and forth-Sometimes this will engage the 'dogs' on a real locking diff.
Also-try the other wheel.
