I'm not sure what you got in there, but it sure is full!:)

not even enough room for a mouse to get in there with that

Nope, not your father's small block............but those "new" small blocks are hard to beat. Looks like a very nice installation! :chug:

:madjeep: Oh yea, looks good :chug:

Well, it's been a couple of weeks and the only thing that has required tweeking is the TV cable for the Transmission . No other problems. My gas millage went from around 10mpg with the 360 to 13-15 mpg.

LT1 is a very nice choice! I had a Camaro with that engine and the mileage wasn't great but I never took my foot out of it. I know that with some tweaking you can get more. But who cares with all that power on tap:chug:

So an update. I got my cruise control hooked back up a few weeks ago. Engine produces enough vacuum that I don't need the vacuum reservoir on it.

As for gas mileage, I am getting between 13 and 16, with 15 average. Drove up to Wheeler lake trail in CO, eighty miles with a stiff headwind (15-30mph) at an average speed of 50 mph, climbing from 5600ft to 10,000ft, and got 14.5 mpg. Now just need to get the TF727 out and put in the 4L60E.

Hey fellow Lovelander. Good job on your Jeep. Maybe we'll run into each other on the trail.

More tech issues. I did change my fuel pump. I originally had a frame mounted pump from Summit Racing, which was a re-badged Airtex. Thing was very loud and obnoxious. After looking on the net, found someone who did an in-tank pump using the factory CJ sender assembly. since I still had the pump assembly from the donor vehicle, I pulled the pump from it and with a piece of stainless tube from Ace, I put it in the tank. Sorry I don't have pictures, but the result was much better. Still would have liked to put some rubber around the pump, but the sound level is a fraction of what the old pump was. Hardest part was getting a power wire through the sender housing.

The whole engine setup is much quieter than the AMC 360. When descending hills on the trail, the tires crunching rocks and Transfer Case whine are louder than the engine.

I had the same motor in my s-10 blazer. I bet thats gonna be just as fun to hang on to!!! Very nice install!
