Anyone used a modern turn signal arm with the wipers and lights?

I have a column from an 88' Grand Wagoneer in my CJ. Direct bolt in. I use the stalk for wipers, which required rewiring, though I never got the interval feature to work (I did wire in the governor). The high beam connector plugs directly into the switch on the column.

XJ columns will work, but with more work and one would need a new upper steering shaft.

IIRC, didn't older Jeeps have GM columns? Why couldn't you use any JY GM column?

They are expensive. Anything from a Wrangler is made of gold, if you can find it.

I'm just thinking in terms of like older GM cars. I had an old 93 Cutlass Ciera that had basically the same column as my mother's 76 Grand Prix.

I've considered more than once just pulling an old GM column to get tilt if nothing else.

They will work. Just pay attention to what kind of upper steering shaft joint is needed. I know of three different ones.

I used a 90 something xj column and did a little cut and weld adaption on the steering shaft, which I changed further when I used the flaming river U joint needed for the power steering actuator. The only wiring I can remember not being plug and play was the wiper motor.

A 91/92 s10 blazer column will fit too. Also the steering wheels are interchageable the grant adaptor is the same

I'm using the yj column with the wipers on the column.. I'm still in the wiring phase but shouldn't be that bad to wire up.
